Today I found myself at gym.

This is highly out of the ordinary and I was a tad disappointed.

As I walk into the room in a pair of high top Vans and a styled singlet (with a pocket),

I realise that my attire does not really suit the rest of the bunch,

Joggers or trainers, whatever they are called, tight muscle shirts and so on.

I already feel awkward about the situation and then,

the gym instructor poses the question - 'So what sports do you guys play?'

Typical answers run around the room; Netball, Soccer, Football, Basketball etc...he gets to me,

I say nothing, he thinks I said frisbee, I repeat, no I do nothing, I don't like sport.

He goes on to say, 'well what do you do?'

I answer, I MAKE FILMS.

35 YEARS WORTH of beard is now gone.

Today Phil (dad) shaved for the World's Greatest Shave 2010.

For my parents entire relationship dad has a had a beard.

My mum had never seen him without a beard (except for photographs).

have never seen him without a beard (I'm sure they will be shocked).

LONGBOARDING IS A CRIME

AND IM COMMITTING IT

I have grown up in a family that surfs, surfs boards long and short, with any number of
fins you can think of in between 0 and 6 (think about it... not that many). My eldest brother
Ruben, has competed on the World Longboard Tour, and has been surfing professionally
since the age of 16. My brother next in line, Keenan is a surfing judge, both longboards
and shortboards, he has judged on the World Longboard Tour aswell as many 'QS
events. Isaac my other brother doesn't ride any type of surfboard and hates the beach,
he is a skater. My Dad is a life-long surfer both longboards and short, he has been
shaping surfboards, running longboard events and coaching and judging along the way.

And to think that I have never really stepped on one of these longboards,
after staying away from the things for 16 years I have recently begin to ride them.
My shortboard is 5'6" and lately I have been riding a 10ft board (just a tiny bit bigger).

These things are cool, fun, cruisy and they catch waves.

Yesterday my art teacher told the class to draw what was inside their head,

I came up with something a slight bit different to everyone else.
